AI is Going to Change Everything
AI is Going to Change Everything
This is the understatement of this decade.
If there is no one working with senior leadership who is looking at all possible AI experiments for your company, then you better re-think. Fast. I've personally conducted dozens of experiments, and each one continues to amaze me. Every experiment reveals new possibilities I hadn't imagined before, and the potential impact is staggering. This isn't exaggeration—it's based on real, hands-on experience.
This technology is different; there is no way an external consultant will come and make it easy for you. For long, transformations have been run by external consultants, who package insights across industries/companies into one-size-fits-all frameworks. It provided assurance and predictability. But that won't work for AI or at least are a few years away. Every company will need to experiment on their own and solutions will emerge from within, shaped by a deep understanding of an organization's unique workflows, culture, and processes. The companies that win will be those that dare to experiment early and often.
So, I would say, 3 things to begin with:
- Build prototypes & learn, don't wait for perfection
- Have a clear vision of how to position it within the company
- Set the right culture and perspectives around the use of AI
Here's the truth many leaders aren't ready to acknowledge: Your employees are already using AI in their day-to-day work. They're just not telling you about it.
Focus on productivity enhancements across the entire spectrum of use cases. Start small and move fast. Every function, every process, every workflow is an opportunity for AI-driven enhancement.
